GLaDOS Costume Concept Sketch by Stelera GLaDOS Costume Concept Sketch by Stelera
Going to make a GLaDOS costume... this is my general idea, should be fun to hang up-side-down from my knees if the blood doesn't all rush to my head!

just a quick sketch, and by quick I mean an hour and a half XDDD

[edit: went junking with my buddy in this old abandoned house and found a lot of scrap wire and tubing I'm gonna use in this cosplay, also there's a foam matress pad I can use, but it's covered with acorns lol (also surprisingly NOT disgusting as I would have assumed... it looks almost brand new asside fromt he acorns...)

I'm actually having the head done by a friend, but what I'm doing for the black detail work is wearing a full-body metalic/black spandex suit... that's really the only FOR SURE I have at this moment, still waiting on some tips for using foam from a friend...

Niiiice. I wanted to get one of those body suits but that for me is impossible at this time... I'm building the head parts out of duct tape & cardboard right now... I really wish there were better materials around here

to get a more plastic effect, I would recommend paperi macheting over the duct tape, even using spackle or plaster over the papier machet in order to smooth the surface and then painting with a flat white base-coat followed by a high-gloss white enamel paint. If you do it right you can get it looking really pro. Also I just got a lot of scrap wire and tubing and foam from an abandoned house I picked junk out of, so you might try that, just don't get caught. You can also find TONS of scrap wire and gears and stuff at your local junk yard for really cheap if you pick the right materials (anything broken will be cheap, such as cracked or broken tubes, frayed wires etc. because they can't be resold as useful parts.)

Nice! Careful not to trip on those wires though! Can I hold you upside down?

I can lift Christina with one arm, you two are the same size. I'm sure I can lift you!

ah, but lifting and holding are two entirely different things... could you hold me with one arm while I hang up-side-down by my knees?

Not sure, let's test it to be positive! Just don't swing like a monkey!
